The wow gold Janelle Wind Collection
Following on from my Easter Swap (part one) post, I am super excited to show you all of the gorgeous goodies that the lovely Mel Brewin spoiled me with.
I was SO very excited when this pile of beautiful swap presents arrived in my PO Box. I couldn wait to open them but happily enjoyed looking at them until our special evening we had planned to open our gifts together. We each opened in our own homes, and shared photos on Instagram and twitter throughout the night, it was a LOT of fun.
Lovely Mel had also included a gift for each of my children as well. I didn get photos of the kids with their gifts but Jasper enjoyed his huge lollypop for many days and Emily totally loved her gifts too. I am sure she will be blogging all about them soon as well.
Ok, back to my swap gifts. We had three categories for wow gold our gifts, Easter theme, Blythe theme and free choice. Boy, was I spoiled. Mel had put so much thought into each of my gifts and it was like Christmas opening each beautifully wrapped gift.
For the Blythe part of the swap, Mel sent me a gorgeous Mushroom dress, a crochet bear hat a pair of black Mary-Jane blythe shoes (not photographed) and some gorgeous hair pins as well.
Here are buy wow weapons some of my Blythe modeling their new goodies.
For the Easter part of the swap, Mel buy wow weapons spoiled me with some yummy chocolates that were eaten very quickly (and super delicious), as well as a super cute little bunny ornament. Isn it adorable.
And finally, Mel totally spoiled me with a while bunch of gorgeousness, just for me. Some gorgeous vintage fabric, a hanging bird, some nail polish, a gorgeous flower on a card and finally a stunning necklace.
I am actually wearing the beautiful nail polish that Mel gave me, today. I just love it.
Naughty (Lovely) Mel went into my etsy favourites and saw that I had favourited this necklace. It has two birds sitting on a wire, with some lace across the bottom corner. I just love it, I love that each time I wear it I can think of Mel too. It is perfect and I have been wearing it lots and lots. I can believe Mel went to so much trouble to spoil me.
And finally, Mel totally blew me away by making me the most gorgeous hexagon cushion. Mel used some of my most favourite fabrics, Meadowsweet, and made a cushion just for me. I feel SO spoiled and absolutely love it. It now has pride of place on my bed. I feel so very blessed to have such a beautiful group of lovely, supportive friends. Thank you Mel for making my Easter just that little (insert lot) bit more special. xx Janelle
I am very fortunate to be a part of a small group of lovely Blythe collecting, supportive and beautiful friends through twitter. We are spread all over Australia but our love of Blythe and friendship has brought us together and we regularly have little swaps. We have just completed an Easter swap, where we each had a secret swap partner (and it wasn a direct swap), so I thought you might like to see what I sent to my secret swap partner.
For our Easter swap we were to send something Easter themed, something for Blythe and something handmade (free choice on theme), wrap it beautifully and send it off so that it arrived before Easter (if possible). My partner was the lovely Tammy James of Girls Wear Blue Too. I was a little nervous choosing what to make and send to Tammy but I decided to just send things I loved and hoped she would love them too.
For the Easter part of the swap I chose a box of yummy Lindt choccies and made Tammy an Easter dress for her Blythe dolls.
For the Blythe part of the swap I gave Tammy a stunning beanie made by my dear friend Sheree Forcier, a cardigan from another dear friend Melissa Goodsell of One Crafty Mumma and a matching dress made by me. Tammy had said that she loved citrus colours so I hoped she would love this outfit for her Blythes.
And finally, for the free choice part of the swap, I decided to spoil Tammy with a few special gifts, just for her. wow gold I chose a gorgeous necklace from DustyJo etsy store. I also purchased a cute hanging bird that I thought might be nice for Tammy sewing room, I added a few fat quarters that I thought Tammy might like and for the handmade gift I made Tammy a Stitcher Pouch from my Sassy Sewing Set pattern. Tammy is a stitcher so I thought this might be just the gift for her.
Here is a close up of the inside of the Stitchers Pouch that I made for Tammy. I decided to add a few essentials inside, such as needles, pins and a pair of small scissors - something I use all the time so thought Tammy might like some spares too.
Once I had finished all of my stitching and collecting for Tammy, I wrapped everything up as pretty as I could and sent them off (at the last minute) to Tammy.
Those of us who were around and who had received their swap gifts, did the big open together (through twitter) on Wednesday night. Twitter and Instagram was going crazy with lots of photos and fun as we all shared what we received and were relieved that our friends loved what we sent them as well. I am pleased to say that Tammy loved everything that I sent to her (phew). And I was SUPER excited to open my gorgeous gifts from my secret swap partner too. I am off to photograph my gifts and will blog all about them soon. I hope you are enjoying a lovely and safe Easter. xx Janelle
